My time at LMN
LMN is an architecture firm located in Seattle, Washington. The firm specializes in commercial buildings like for schools and offices while also taking on more specific projects like the Seattle aquarium.
Observing the Aquarium Build
During my internship at LMN, one of the most eye openeing experiences was physically observing the aquarium build. I had the opportunity to visit the Seattle Aquarium site and see the transition from blueprints to tangible structures. This experience allowed me to understand how important planning is for the ultimate execution of a final project.
Working on Hope College
A significant part of my internship involved contributing to the design of a central building for Hope College. I utilized the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign, to lay out material sourcing for the building.
Visiting Physical Projects
Another aspect of my internship was visiting the physical projects that LMN had previously completed. Seeing these structures in person and then comparing them to the model versions in the office provided an intresting and new perspective on the design process.
