Independent Study in Science & Robotics

I worked on an independent study combining science and robotics focused on testing the water quality of Lake Washington. In the study I created an underwater capturing devide that could take water samples from Lake Washington. The initial phase involved a lot of research followed by brainstorming to develop the designs for the capturing device. I then designed the device’s physical components and iterated on the design.

Manufacturing

After finalizing the designs in CAD, I moved on to the manufacturing stage. This process involved selecting parts from the hardware store and then assembling the entire device in the shop.

Iteration

The project was entirely student-driven, requiring constant iteration and problem-solving. As challenges arose, I had to adapt my designs and make adjustments to ensure the robot's functionality and durability.

Final Review

The project concluded with a comprehensive research paper summarizing the study’s findings. I presented the final device and the detailed CAD designs, highlighting the project’s development and final outcomes.
